MY QUALIFICATIONS
After achieving an undergraduate degree in psychology, from Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo, Ontario, I went on to complete a Master’s degree in social work at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.After graduation, I returned to Ontario and worked on a travelling mental health team, based in Gravenhurst, and then moved much further north to Red Lake, Ontario, and became the Director of Mental Health services, supporting a number of northern Ontario communities. After the two year contract to bring counselling services to the region was accomplished, and permanent funding was approved by the Ministry of Health, I returned to southern Ontario and worked on the outpatient mental health team, at the then Mississauga Hospital now Trillium, for five years. I opened my private practice clinic in1989 and have been seeing clients for over 30 years.

AFTER CONTACTING ME
We will first set up an initial consultation appointment and together we will have a comprehensive discussion about what is bringing you into therapy at this time. I collect a detailed background history that will shed light on the issues you are concerned about.
MAPPING A DIRECTION
Collaboratively, we will decide on a direction to take and map out what pathway to embark upon, in order to achieve an increased sense of well-being and happiness.
CONFIDENTIALITY
I am bound by strict rules of confidentiality and everything that is shared in our meetings is kept private. No information will be released in any form, without your explicit consent.
A number of insurance plans partially or fully cover my services. When checking, my credentials are M.S.W., R.S.W., registration number 321443.
